Aerospace

A Aerospaces Cleanroom is a clean air environment and has the function of preventing air particulates of a certain size from entering. Cleanrooms are required by many industries like food production, E-liquids, science and technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare facilities among others to minimise pollution from unfiltered air.

There are many types of contaminants that can harm the processes of research and production. Some of these include fibrous materials, aerosol particles, microorganisms, and chemical vapours among many others. Our Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms are developed to meet the required standard of the international organisation for standardisation (ISO) 14644-1: 2015.

The ISO 14644-1:2015 compliant Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms vary between class 1 and 9. Each Cleanroom is classed according to the maintained level and size of air particulates in the environment. The highest classification of Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms of this standard (Class 1) will be valued based on the smallest range of pollutants entering the clean air environment and lowest frequency whereas the Class 9 category of Cleanrooms, which represents the minimum classification, will be valued based on having a higher frequency and much larger contaminants entering the cleanroom.

To test Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms and classify them, particle counters are used to measure the Particles Per Cubic Metre (PPCMM) of the environment by size and quantity. For ISO Class 9 Cleanrooms, the removal of air pollutants of sizes >5 microns are analysed for in an environment that is typically equivalent to the air of suburbs.

The Class 1 Modular Cleanroom sees to the filtration of much lower air particulate sizes of >0.1 and >0.2 microns, ensuring that the confined space maintains a low level of contamination. An example of this testing requirement is as follows.

A Class 7 Cleanroom will be tested for a particulate size of > 0.5 microns with a maximum particle count of 352,000. If this test exceeds the maximum number, the Aerospaces Cleanroom will need to be modified and retested to meet the classification.

Pollution-Free Production

The use of HEPA/ULPA filtering technology is employed to achieve the level of clean air quality in Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms. This method is scientifically proven to filter out different sizes and amount of pollutants in the air entering the cleanroom. Non-filtered air passes through Filter Fan Units (FFUs) creating a positive pressure area inside the cleanroom. The positive pressure is responsible for sustaining the state of clean air that prevents the backflow of polluted air into the Cleanroom via exhaust openings.

The above-mentioned type of Aerospaces cleanroom makes sure that only air that has travelled through the FFUs makes it into the internal area ensuring pollution-free production.

Modular Cleanroom Benefits

  • Modular Construction
  • Quick Assembly Time
  • Versatility
  • Reconfiguration
  • Airflow Control
  • Inexpensive Modifications

The Aerospaces Cleanroom solution will reduce the likelihood of product contamination and is the first stage of producing a clean air production area. The next steps involves making sure personnel don’t contaminate the cleanroom. This introduction of contaminants can be prevented by the proper use of Cleanroom PPE such as gowning, hair nets and overshoes. This will aid in decreasing microbes and other contaminants from infiltrating the clean air space and intruding the research/production process. Operators of Aerospaces Cleanrooms must be adequately trained on contamination reduction processes to keep the Cleanroom safe from contamination.

Industry Demands

In order to produce non-polluted products, certain industries require clean air environments that see to the reduction of particulates in the production area.

With the use of air filtration, Cleanrooms provide a much-needed reduction of particulates in the production area. The use of Cleanrooms are employed in industries such as science and technology, semiconductors, production, electronics, medical devices, research, food production and more.

At Saakvee, we are here to make sure you invest in the most suitable design for your application purposes. We can provide guidance concerning ideal Aerospaces Cleanroom standards for you if you’re unsure about anything.

We only provide Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms that meet the ISO 14644-1: 2015 standard. Cleanrooms of this standard fall in different classes – from ISO 1-9. The classification of a Cleanroom changes dependent on the size and prevalence of the air particulate in the cleanroom. Tests for the smallest sizes of particulates will be carried out for the highest classification (class 1) while class 9, which is the least classification, has a requirement for a higher prevalence and larger size of contaminants present in the clean air environment.

The use of particle counters is adopted to test Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms for categorisation, where the enclosed space is measured by Particles Per Cubic Metre (PPCM). The number, as well as size, of air particulates in the cleanroom are measured by particle counters. More cleaner air environments are realised with ISO 1 cleanrooms because they focus on the removal of the smallest air particulate sizes >0.1 microns and >0.2 microns while ISO 9 Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms are only dedicated to the elimination of larger air particulates >5 microns.

Containment Solutions

A containment solution is suitable for you if you have a hazardous substance that needs to be removed via a filter before reaching the outside air. Aerospaces Modular Cleanrooms can be made to keep production safe by introducing contamination-free air into the work space and contain hazardous materials that come about during production through the use of ULPA, HEPA, or Carbon filters. Saakvee provides the best in containment solutions that can be streamlined to the needs of any industry and see to it that your cleanroom complies to the standards and requirements of specific regulators.

Due to the differences in hazardous materials that stem from diverse quantities which depend on use, every containment solution we provide has to be unique. This means that the level of containment can change from customer to customer. We’ll consult with you to make sure we deliver the required system for your use.

Airflow And Filtration

Our Cleanrooms are designed to be compliant to the specified ISO 14644-1:2015 grading. With this in mind, we take into consideration the level of air filtration required and the end function of the cleanroom. The level of air filtration required is determined by the air changes per hour (ACH), this determines how many Filter Fan Units are to be used in the cleanroom. What we also determine by the strategic positioning of the FFUs and exhausts is the flow of air around the cleanroom. This can mean the difference between a uni-directional (laminar flow) and a non-unidirectional (turbulent flow) airflow around a cleanroom, potentially leading to a contaminated product. With this in mind, we can greatly increase the number of ACH and control the air flow within the cleanroom.

Filtration of air is controlled by our ultra-quiet, high-efficiency filtration modules. These filtration modules automatically compensate for a build-up of dust and other materials that occur over time within a HEPA/ULPA filter increasing the fan speed to reach the set flow rate. This increases the life of the filter, reducing cost overtime for the end user.
